Siegfried Schreck, born in Bottrop / Westphalia in 1948, began his artistic career as a poet and songwriter. At the beginning of the eighties he began to write. He worked with various composers and wrote seaman's songs, chanson texts, children's songs, rock / pop, among other things. Germany's rock legend Achim Reichel set a poem by him to music and published it on his CD “Entspann Dich”. Starting out as a satirist, he devoted himself more and more to lyrical and poetic content and published 3 volumes of poetry and contributed to anthologies. His poems have been published in literary magazines, read on radio and television, and some have been translated into English and Spanish.
In order to give his artistic work a new direction, he discovered computer painting (digital painting) in 1999 and successfully exhibited his abstract images generated on the PC in various international web galleries. 2002 Winning the "DCA" - "Digital Creation Award" in Japan. (International Prize for Digital Art) The US print magazine "Lia Magazin" dedicated a detailed article to him with images and text. From 2006 to 2013 all artistic activities are suspended. From 2013 "Lust for art" again and start with photo painting, editing and alienating digital photographs. Since 2016 beginning with exhibitions in cultural centers, town halls, galleries etc. 2017 reading of his poems in front of an audience for the first time. Mostly at his exhibitions and with changing musical accompaniment, he reads his poetic texts. He is married and lives near Hamburg. Country of Residence: Germany
